Great Holiday Christmas and New Year Buffet Treat at The Four Points Hotel

Man, I’m so going to get smacked for this late post. It’s been a week past new year and I’m still here with this late post. Oh well, I guess it’s still better be late then never at all, right? Here goes…

Let me start the story with an apologize for this very late post. Year end was never a slow motion time for reminiscing for me. It went by so fast, I could hardly blink to catch those glimpse of the happenings passed over me.

Last month precisely on the 11th December 2014, a bunch of us from Sarawak Bloggers, namely Irene, Aliey, Khairool and myself has been invited by the Four Points by Sheraton Kuching Hotel to join them for the heart-warming moments celebrating the essence of the joyful season together with the Salvation Army Kuching Children’s Home for a special event called “Christmas Love Treats” to share their love, hope and joy.

This was a part of their project from the ‘Care for Community’ initiatives. Also joining us that evening was the carolers from St. James, Kpg Kuap. Their soothing and enchanting voices rhyming the Christmas carol songs brings all the festive spirits in joining us sharing the love and joy of Christmas.

For this holiday season, the spread includes the all time favorite, Seafood on Ice which spreads various selection of Flower Crabs, Half Shelled Scallops, Poached Prawn, Green Shell Mussels, Oysters including Christmas Venison Pete with Cranberry sauce and Cured Fish Fillet with fresh herb platter. This Seafood on Ice is always my favorite.

Going for health food and concern about eating healthy? Well, The Eatery is never short of healthy green food for everyone. You are able to enjoy these healthy green food at the ‘Create Your Own Salad Counter’ where it serves Cobb Salad with condiments, Sauteed Fresh Button Mushroom Salad with Coriander, Christmas Egg Salad with Beef Bacon, Grilled Mixed Vege with Bacon Bites and Permesan Cheese Salad, Roasted Pumpkin with Half Cherry Tomato and Walnut Salad and Christmas Shrimps Cocktail with Caviar.

But, my personal favorite from the whole menu that night was the soup. They had the Lobster Bisque with Truffle Oil and Crab meat soup! I can almost see that divine light throbbing down the starry clouds shining down on me every time I took a sip from the soup bowl. That is how delicious the Lobster Bisque and Crab Meat soup was. The taste was so majestic. Not trying to boos or anything, but that was the TRUTH!.

There are also variety selections of Herb Stick Bread, Bread Rolls and Loaf to compliment the soup.

Apart from the above, the ‘Christmas Main Course’ includes Chicken Schnitzel with Lemon and Caper and Buttered Winter Vegetables with Almond Flakes, Chestnut and Olive Oil. In addition to that, they didn’t forgot the Smoked BBQ Beef Spare Ribs, Lamb Stew with Garlic Bread, Smoked Beef Sausage and Smoked Chicken Sausage.

However, Christmas dinner will not complete without its traditional servings of Roasted Turkey and The Eatery have fulfill this by serving their best Roasted Turkey with Raisin and Chestnut Rice compliments with Roasted Potatos, Cranberry Sauce and Giblet Sauce. This tradition meals is available at the ‘Cauvery Station’.

For those craving for local delicacies, The Eatery also include the diners most wanted all time favorite at the ‘Asian Station’. Here they will indulge you with the selections of Steamed White Pomfret Fish Teochew Style, Braised Chicken Meat Ball in Superior Sauce, Vietnamese Prawns and KL Curry Noodles with condiments.

Last but not least, the ‘Festive Sweet Temptations’. It’s a promising sweet ending and hard to resist line up with Assortment Sandwiches, Christmas Fruit Cakes, Christmas Hazelnut Dome, Assortment of Christmas Cookies, Santa and Dwarf Ginger Breads, Christmas Mince Fruits Pie, Christmas Spice Stollen, Selection of Miniature Desserts, Cinnamon Creme Brulee, Lemon Lime Meringue Tartlette, Cotton Cheese Cake, Tower of Profiteroles, White Lamington, Christmas Yule Log and Warm Christmas Pudding with Vanilla Sauce.

But my personal choice was the Ice Cream and Make Your Own ABC Special Counter hehe.

The Christmas Eve Dinner and New Year’s Eve Dinner is priced at RM98.00++ per person for adult. Christmas Day Brunch and New Year’s Day Brunch is available at RM58.00++ per person for adult. For Christmas Day Dinner and New Year’s Day Dinner it is priced at RM78.00++ per person for adult. Children age 12 years and below will enjoy 50% discounts and your little ones, age 3 years and below will dine for free!
