One big advantage when talking about being in Kuching, Sarawak is the excessive eating cafes and restaurants. May it be big or small, exclusive or public, the ambiance of having a Kuching style breakfast is definitely one of a kind. Selections of Chinese and Malay cuisines are ample and some other varieties of special cuisines are available depending on your preference.
Last Saturday morning, we were once again getting an exclusive invitation by the Grand Margherita Hotel, Kuching to join them in trying their latest breakfast buffet promotion. Its the Dim Sum Breakfast Buffet at their Meisan Restaurant. Grand Margherita is by far that I know server dim sum buffet for breakfast in Kuching. There might be other restaurants out there who also serves dim sum for breakfast, but i’m sure it wouldn’t be the same buffet style. It has been long known that the dim sum breakfast in this Meisan Restaurant always serves the freshers and delicious servings every time.
Ophelia and I arrived at the hotel around 8am. While waiting for the others to arrive, we decided to just head to the Meisan Restaurant, located at the 1st floor to wait while having our breakfast. Little that we knew that day, the rest of the crew can’t make it to the breakfast review. In the end, it’s just the two of us terrorizing and rampaging the buffet (just kidding).
And so, here goes…
Breakfast buffet will not complete without breads and butter. For some, this is a must during breakfast and the Meisan Restaurant will not disappoint you with their choices of breads and buns.
This is my all time favorite menu for breakfast menu apart from a bowl of hot porridge. They are just tasty-licious!
The recommended dishes for the Dim Sum Breakfast buffet are the Chef’s specialties, which are Bamboo Rolls, Custard Juice Bun and the Shanghai Dumpling. These dishes are very very highly recommended and must try when going for the Dim Sum Breakfast buffet here.
